The M1919 is a medium machine gun that was developed after World War 1 for US forces. It was used thoughout World War 2 and the Korean War and was used by many nations with ties to the USA in many other conflicts. Nowadays most M1919 are replaced or relegated to reserve use, although some may remain in in service.
